REFINED, BLEACHED and DEODORISED (RBD) PALM OLEIN
Palm oil is a natural foods. It is derived from the fleshy mesocarp of the fruit of the oil palm (Elaeis guineensis). RBD Palm Olein is obtained from fractionating RBD Palm Oil to separate liquid parts (olein) from solid parts (Stearin). RBD Palm Olein is a clear yellow liquid at room temperature with no contamination (e.g.: oxidation). RBD Palm Olein is used as frying oil for food industries, such as snack food manufacturing and fast food manufacturing. It is also used as raw materials for such other products like Margarines and Shortenings. It contains an equal proportion of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids. It is also a source of Vitamin E. It is stable and versatile even without hydrogenation. Hydrogenation process will form trans fatty acids, which may have adverse affect on health
